Registration

Step One - Registration

To be able to bid for properties through Basingstoke and Deane Homebid you must have applied to and been accepted on to our Housing Register. If you are already on the Housing Register and have a registration number, there is no need to register again for Homebid. If you are not sure please contact us.

To make an application please complete the on-line application form by following the link below.  If you need any support to complete the form, please contact the housing team on 01256 844844.

You must be over 16 years of age to apply to go onto the housing register and your situation will also be assessed against other qualifying criteria. These are listed on the prioritising application's page.

We will ask you to provide information about yourself and your housing needs which will enable us to decide what level of help you are entitled to and whether you can be accepted onto the housing register. This may include being interviewed or providing documents such as birth certificates and passports.

Either at the start of the scheme or when you are accepted on to the housing register we will write to tell you:

  • Your housing application number
  • The band your application has been placed in and your priority date.
  • The number of bedrooms you are entitled to.

You must tell us if there are any changes in your circumstances so that we can reassess your application and if necessary make changes to your band and priority date.
